Q1: How do I choose between carbon, bronze, and glass fiber fillers for my specific operating conditions?
A1: Carbon fiber improves creep resistance, thermal conductivity, and provides some electrical conductivity (anti-static). Bronze powder enhances compressive strength and heat dissipation, ideal for heavy loads and low speeds. Glass fiber increases rigidity and dimensional stability, suitable for high temperature and pressure. Provide your load, temperature, speed, and media, and we will recommend the optimal formulation, including hybrid fillers if needed.

Q2: What are the advantages of compression molding over extrusion for bushing applications?
A2: Molding allows higher filler loading (up to 40%) with more uniform distribution, resulting in higher density and extremely low porosity. This yields excellent dimensional stability and resistance to compression deformation, making it ideal for pump bushings bearing radial loads, especially for large diameters and thick walls.

Q3: What is the continuous operating temperature range, and do fillers affect it?
A3: The PTFE matrix operates continuously from -200°C to +260°C. Carbon and glass fibers remain stable within this range; bronze improves heat conduction but may oxidize above 300°C. We can recommend the suitable filler system based on your actual temperature.

Q4: What radial load and PV value can this tubing withstand as a hydraulic pump bushing?
A4: Load capacity depends on filler type and ratio. Pure PTFE has a limiting PV of about 0.05 MPa·m/s, carbon-filled can reach above 0.3, bronze-filled about 0.2, and glass-filled about 0.15. Exact values are calculated based on wall thickness and clearance; we can provide test data for your reference.

Q5: How does this tubing resist hydraulic fluids, emulsions, acids, and alkalis?
A5: PTFE is inert to almost all chemicals. However, bronze is not resistant to strong oxidizing acids, while carbon and glass fibers are. We will select compatible fillers for your media.

Q6: Can the dimensions (ID, OD, length) and tolerances be customized? Can you machine stepped or flanged bushings?
A6: Yes, full customization is available. We accept 2D (PDF/CAD) and 3D (IGES/STEP) drawings and can produce straight tubes, stepped bushings, or parts with flanges and seal grooves. ID machining tolerance can reach H7, and OD h6, ensuring precise fit with pump housings and shafts.

Q7: Is this material self-lubricating, and is additional lubrication needed after installation?
A7: PTFE has an extremely low friction coefficient (0.05-0.10), and fillers like carbon or bronze retain self-lubrication. Usually no extra lubricant is needed, but for start-up or extreme loads, a thin grease film can reduce initial friction. For frequent start-stop applications, we can add MoS2 for further improvement.

Q8: Is the carbon-filled tubing electrically conductive? Can it be used for anti-static hydraulic systems?
A8: Carbon-filled PTFE is conductive, suitable for static dissipation. Bronze and glass-filled grades are insulating. If anti-static is required, please specify your target resistivity, and we will adjust the carbon content accordingly.

Q9: Is this product FDA-compliant or food-contact grade? Can it be used in food or pharmaceutical equipment?
A9: Note that fillers (carbon, bronze, glass fiber) generally do not meet FDA food-contact requirements, so this product is not recommended for food, pharmaceutical, or drinking water applications. It is designed for industrial hydraulic and chemical pumps in refineries, petrochemicals, fertilizers, and power plants.
