Q1: Which pump and valve components are best suited for glass fiber, bronze, carbon, and graphite fillers respectively?
A1: Glass fiber improves rigidity and creep resistance, suitable for valve seats, seal rings, and pump bushings. Bronze enhances thermal conductivity and compressive strength, ideal for heavy-duty pump bearings and high-pressure valve parts. Carbon boosts wear resistance and heat dissipation, good for frequent start-stop pump shaft sleeves and valve stem guides. Graphite lowers friction and improves self-lubrication, suited for low-friction valve seals and dry-running pump components. Choose single or combined fillers based on media, pressure, and temperature.

Q2: How do I choose among extruded, molded, and press tubes for pump and valve applications?
A2: Extruded tubes (OD 13-213 mm) suit small-to-medium diameters and long lengths (500-4000 mm) for continuous parts like pump bushings and valve liners. Molded tubes (OD 30-1323 mm) are for large diameters, thick walls, or high filler loads in heavy-duty valve bodies and pump housing seals. Press tubes (OD 0.2-25 mm) are small-diameter, thin-wall rolls for precision valve cores or miniature pump parts. Choose based on part size and quantity.

Q3: What are the continuous operating temperature and pressure ratings for these filled PTFE tubes in pump and valve conditions?
A3: Continuous service temperature is -200°C to +260°C. Static sealing pressure can exceed 30 MPa; dynamic or pulsating pressure is recommended below 20 MPa, depending on filler, wall thickness, and design. We can perform strength verification based on your pump/valve pressure rating.

Q4: Do fillers affect PTFE's chemical resistance? Can they be used in corrosive media pumps and valves?
A4: The PTFE matrix still resists almost all strong acids, bases, and organic solvents. Glass fiber, carbon, and graphite are generally corrosion-resistant; bronze may corrode in strong acids and should be avoided. For highly corrosive media, choose glass fiber/carbon/graphite fillers. Note: filled versions generally do not meet FDA food-contact requirements and are not recommended for food or pharmaceutical pumps/valves.

Q5: Can dimensions be customized? Can you machine valve seats, seal rings, or pump bushings per drawings?
A5: Yes. ID, OD, and length are fully customizable. We accept 2D drawings (PDF/CAD) and 3D models (IGES/STEP). Secondary machining such as turning, milling, drilling, and slotting is available to produce seal rings, valve seats, guide sleeves, or bushings directly for pump and valve use.

Q6: Are these filled PTFE tubes FDA or food-grade certified? Which pump and valve industries are they suitable for?
A6: Note that glass fiber, bronze, carbon, and graphite fillers generally do not meet FDA food-contact requirements, so they are not recommended for food, pharmaceutical, or drinking water pumps/valves. They are designed for industrial pump and valve applications such as chemical process pumps, oil and gas valves, power plant desulfurization pumps, and mining slurry valves, offering excellent corrosion and wear resistance.

Q7: How do filled PTFE tubes perform in terms of wear resistance and service life in pumps and valves? Can they replace metal seals?
A7: Filled PTFE offers 3-5 times better wear resistance than pure PTFE, with a friction coefficient as low as 0.1-0.2. In corrosive media or dry-running conditions, it can replace some metal seals, avoiding rust and galling while reducing mating surface wear. However, PV limits must still be verified under heavy loads and high pressures.

Q8: How do you ensure consistent filler content and tube performance in batch orders?
A8: We use controlled compounding, molding/extrusion processes, and batch testing. Each batch is inspected for filler content, density, hardness, compressive strength, friction coefficient, and dimensional accuracy. Retained samples and lot traceability records ensure stable and reliable performance for pump and valve PTFE parts.
