Made from pure virgin PTFE, featuring excellent high-temperature resistance, outstanding corrosion resistance and self-lubricating performance. The shoulder-flange provides axial stop & positioning function for rotary shafts. Suitable for chemical, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, electroplating and food-processing equipment. Modified filled PTFE material is also available against creep. Drawings & custom dimensions are welcomed.

FAQ

Q1: For corrosive equipment, should I choose pure PTFE or filled modified PTFE?
A1: For strong acids, bases, or high-purity media with FDA compliance, choose pure PTFE for maximum inertness and no extractables. For higher creep resistance, wear resistance, or thermal conductivity without FDA requirements, choose glass fiber, carbon fiber, or graphite filled grades. Provide your media and conditions for a recommendation.

Q2: Can you fully customize non-standard dimensions and flange structures according to my drawings?
A2: Yes. We support custom machining per drawings, accepting PDF/CAD 2D drawings and IGES/STEP 3D models. Inner diameter, outer diameter, length, flange OD, thickness, bolt hole spacing, and sealing face type can all be manufactured precisely to your design.

Q3: Can the flange sealing face match existing equipment flanges?
A3: Yes. We can machine raised face, tongue-and-groove, or other sealing forms to ANSI, DIN, JIS standards or per your mating flange drawings, ensuring tight fit and leak-free installation.

Q4: Which acids can this PTFE flanged bushing resist? Is it suitable for strong acids?
A4: Pure PTFE resists almost all strong acids, including hydrochloric, sulfuric, nitric, hydrofluoric, and mixed acids, as well as strong bases and organic solvents. Only molten alkali metals and elemental fluor should be avoided. Filled versions' acid resistance depends on the filler; provide your specific media for confirmation.

Q5: What is the pressure capabilities?
A5: As a bushing, it mainly withstands pressure differential and friction. Pure PTFE performs well at room temperature, but creep resistance is limited at high temperatures. For higher rigidity, choose filled versions or increased wall thickness. We can perform strength verification for your conditions.

Q6: Under long-term pressure or cyclic temperature, will pure PTFE cold flow? How can it be improved?
A6: Pure PTFE tends to cold flow under sustained high pressure or temperature. Improvements include increasing wall thickness, adding flange limits, reducing continuous pressure, or switching to carbon/glass fiber filled grades to significantly reduce compression set. If FDA compliance is mandatory, structural design compensation is needed.

Q7: Is this flanged irregular bushing easy to machine? Can dimensional accuracy be guaranteed?
A7: Very easy. PTFE has excellent machinability for turning, milling, drilling, and tapping. We use CNC machining to ensure flange flatness, hole position accuracy, and ID/OD tolerances. Annealing after machining relieves internal stress and prevents warping.

Q8: Does the pure PTFE version meet FDA, ROHS, and REACH requirements? What about filled versions?
A8: The pure PTFE version complies with FDA 21 CFR 177.1550 for food contact and can be supplied with MSDS, ROHS, and REACH documents. Filled versions are generally not FDA-compliant and are for industrial use only, but MSDS, ROHS, and REACH can be provided. Please specify your application when ordering.

Q9: For bulk orders, how do you ensure quality and dimensional consistency for each batch of flanged bushings?
A9: We use controlled raw materials and standardized machining processes. Each batch is inspected for dimensions, flange flatness, hole positions, and material density. Retained samples and lot traceability records are kept. Material certificates and compliance documents are available to ensure reliable long-term operation in corrosive equipment.
