It can be precision-CNC machined into insulating support blocks and various custom mechanical parts. Widely applied for automated production equipment. Q1: What is the difference between continuously extruded PEEK rod and molded PEEK rod? How do I choose for insulating support blocks?
A1: Continuous extrusion suits longer continuous lengths and standard diameters, with higher efficiency, better cost, and good material density. Molded rod is better for large diameters and thick walls with lower internal stress. For insulating support blocks in automation equipment, extruded rod is more cost-effective for standard sizes and volume orders; choose molded for oversized or extremely low-stress requirements.

Q2: How does the wear resistance of this PEEK rod perform? Is it suitable for reciprocating or rotating supports in automation equipment?
A2: PEEK has a low friction coefficient and excellent wear resistance, and the continuous extrusion process ensures uniform density. It is ideal for reciprocating guides, rotating supports, bushings, and sliders in automation equipment, running long-term with little or no lubrication while reducing wear and dust.

Q3: As an insulating support block, how does its electrical insulation perform?

Q5: Can you directly machine finished insulating support blocks according to drawings?
A5: Yes. We accept PDF/CAD 2D drawings and IGES/STEP 3D models for CNC turning, milling, drilling, and slotting, delivering finished insulating support blocks, guides, bushings, and other components to reduce your secondary processing.

Q6: Is this PEEK rod suitable for food or medical contact applications?
A6: Unfilled PEEK generally has good biocompatibility and low extractables, but specific applications require confirming whether the grade meets FDA or USP Class VI. For food or medical grade, please specify in advance; we can recommend suitable grades and provide documents.

Q7: What should I pay attention to when machining? Will it deform or crack easily?
A7: PEEK machines well. Use sharp tools, adequate cooling, and appropriate cutting parameters to avoid overheating that can soften the material or cause stress cracking. Annealing after machining can relieve internal stress and ensure dimensional stability. We can provide machining recommendations.
