Q1: Does blue PTFE capillary tubing differ in performance from natural PTFE? What does the blue color indicate?
A1: The blue color comes from a color masterbatch, mainly for line identification - helping to quickly distinguish different fluid lines in analytical instruments and prevent misconnection. The masterbatch is added at a very low ratio and does not affect PTFE's chemical inertness, temperature range, or mechanical properties. Custom colors are available.

Q2: What is the minimum inner diameter? Can it be used for micro-volume transfer?
A2: Pressed tubes can have an ID as small as 0.1 mm, ideal for micro-liter fluid transfer; nano-liter requirements can be further discussed. Extruded and molded tubes suit larger-flow analytical lines. All dimensions are customizable.

Q3: How is the chemical corrosion resistance? Which reagents can it contact?
A3: The PTFE matrix resists almost all strong acids, strong alkalis, and organic solvents, and the blue color masterbatch does not affect its corrosion resistance. Not recommended for molten alkali metals, elemental fluor, or fluorinated media at high temperature and pressure.

Q4: What are the operating temperature and pressure ranges?
A4: Continuous service temperature is -200°C to +260°C, with short-term exposure up to 300°C. Pressure resistance depends on wall thickness and tube type: pressed tubes suit low pressure, extruded tubes medium pressure, and molded tubes higher pressure. We can perform strength verification for your specific conditions.

Q5: How do I choose among the three tube types for micro-fluid transfer?
A5: Pressed tubes are thin-walled and supplied in rolls, best for capillary and microfluidic transfer. Extruded tubes are flexible, suitable for medium-to-long distance routing. Molded tubes are rigid, for large-diameter or high-pressure use. All dimensions can be customized.

Q6: Will the tubing adsorb samples or cause cross-contamination?
A6: The inner wall is smooth and non-porous with an extremely low friction coefficient, non-stick, and does not adsorb samples or release extractables. It is ideal for trace analysis and ultrapure liquid transfer, effectively preventing cross-contamination.

Q7: Can you customize machining per drawings, such as cutting, flaring, or drilling?
A7: Yes. We accept 2D (PDF/CAD) and 3D (IGES/STEP) drawings and can perform cutting, flaring, end finishing, drilling, and other secondary operations to meet precise assembly requirements for analytical instruments.
